Kristina played last week at the ITF U18 G2 tournament in Florence, Italy. After successfully passed qualification she played in the first round of the main tournament with an Italian player Martina Zerulo. She showed a great play and won the first set with 62. In the second set Martina take a medical break and Kristina did not find herself anymore on the court after this break. She lost the rhythm and Zerulo won the second set with 62 and 61 the third set. Result 62, 26, 16.
In the doubles main tournament Kristina played together with Nika Kozar. They played excellent and qualified for the finals. In the finals they lost to the Greek Cyprus pair Eleni Christof / Eliza Omirou with the result 26, 46.
Kristina has won the tournament U16 OP Ljubljana (ZALA TC Ljubljana, 12.3.2016). Throughout the entire tournament Kristina played well. In the final she defeated Ema Horvat from Ljubljana with score 6/2 and 6/4.
Kristina managed to reach through the qualifications the main draw of the tournament ITF U18 G1 in Umag (Croatia). She defeated Hungarian player Horvath with 1/6, 6/1 and 6/1. In the next round of qualifications Kristina defeated Croatian player Šiljić with 6/2, 6/3.
In the first round of the main tournament Kristina lost after a tough battle by the first seeded Czech player Monika Kilnarova (ITF U18 No. 30) with score 6/7 (8) and 5/7. In both sets of the match Kristina had chances to win but she couldn't take the advantage.
Next tournament will be in 14 days at the ITF U18 G2 in Florence (Italy).
